Studio details and branding
Your name, contact details, logo, address and hours — and the slug that is three public URLs at once.
Your studio's name, contact details, logo and opening hours live in one place and are used everywhere else: the registration form, the confirmation email, the public website, the kiosk screen and the family view all read from this card.
Studio then General is the screen. It is available to Owner and Admin only — an instructor cannot reach it.
Studio Information
Studio Information is the first card on the page.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Studio Name | Shown at the top of your registration form, on the kiosk, in emails, and on your public website. |
| URL Slug | See below. The most consequential field on the page. |
| Contact Email | Where the app writes to you. A failed monthly payment, an inactivity alert and the staff-invite email all go here. It is also shown to families as your contact address. |
| Phone | Formatted as you type. Optional. |
| Studio Logo | Upload or remove. Appears on the kiosk lock screen, the family view and your website. |
| Website URL | Your own external site, if you have one. Must be a full URL including https://. Optional. |
Press Save Settings at the bottom of the page. One button saves all three cards — Studio Information, Address and Business Hours — at once.
The slug is three URLs at the same time
The URL Slug is the short lowercase name that identifies your studio in every public address the app hands out:
| What | Address |
|---|---|
| Your registration page | /your-slug/register |
| Your public website | /your-slug |
| Your check-in kiosk | /kiosk/your-slug |
It must be lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens — no spaces, no capitals, no
underscores. tiger-martial-arts is valid; Tiger Martial Arts is not, and the
form will say so.
Changing the slug breaks every link you have given out
Change it and the old addresses stop working immediately. Every printed QR code, every poster, every link in an email you have already sent, and the URL saved on your lobby tablet all point at an address that no longer exists.
Set the slug on day one and leave it alone. If you genuinely have to change it, reprint the QR code from Studio then QR Code and re-open the kiosk URL on the tablet the same day.
Slugs are unique across all studios on Dojo Tiger. If you try to save one that somebody else already has, the save fails.
Address
The second card: address line 1 and 2, city, state and ZIP. All optional. It is shown to families on the studio-details screen and on your public website, and is the address people will navigate to — so fill it in even if you have no website.
Business Hours
The third card lists all seven days. Each has a Closed tick box; untick it and two time pickers appear for opening and closing time. Days default to 9:00 to 17:00 until you change them.
These are your front-desk hours, not your class times. Class times come from Classes then Schedule and are completely separate — editing your business hours never changes a class, and cancelling a class never changes your business hours.
What this page is not
The Settings screen is long, and only the top three cards are studio details. The rest are separate features with their own articles:
- Kiosk Mode — the tablet PIN and kiosk URL. See Setting up the kiosk.
- Trial Classes — how many free classes a prospect gets. See Trials.
- Discount Promotions, Sibling Discounts and Families — see Setting your prices.
- Payments — the three payment switches. See How money works in Dojo Tiger.
Your logo, and where it shows up
The logo uploader accepts an image file and shows a preview. Once saved, it appears on:
- the kiosk lock screen and every kiosk screen after it, at large size;
- your public website header;
- the family view.
There is no separate "favicon" or "email header" upload — one logo does all of it. A square image works best, because the kiosk renders it in a square frame.
