Adding and managing your students
Registering another child under your account, and what you can and cannot change yourself.
One account covers your whole family. Each child is a separate student record linked to you, and adding a second or third takes about a minute.
Adding another child
Students → Register New Student in the sidebar, or the Register Another Student button at the top of My Students.
Fill in the short form
Student Information asks for three things: first name, last name and date of birth. Your own contact details are already on file, so it doesn't ask again.
Say whether you want a trial first
Tick I'd like them to try a class first if you want a free trial class before committing. No payment or membership is required, and the studio will contact you to arrange a time.
Pick a program (optional)
A dropdown of the studio's current programs, with age guidance where the studio has set it. Leave it blank if you're not sure — it tells the studio what you're interested in, it doesn't enrol anybody.
Sign any waivers
If your studio uses waivers, you go straight to them after submitting. Read and sign each one. This is usually the only part that takes more than a moment.
You get a confirmation, and buttons to Add Another Student or go back.
Registering is not the same as being enrolled
Submitting the form creates your child's record and tells the studio they're interested. Somebody at the studio then enrols them in a program, which is what puts them on a class roster.
Until that happens, you may see your child with no program listed. That is normal for the first day or two — chase it up if it lasts longer.
My Students
The list of every child linked to your account. Each card shows:
- name, photo and date of birth;
- the studio;
- the program they registered interest in;
- a registration status badge, if their registration is still in progress;
- each enrollment they hold, with its status.

A child's page
| Section | What's on it |
|---|---|
| Kiosk check-in code | The code they use to check into class at the studio's tablet. Hidden by default with a Show button. |
| Enrolled Programs | Which programs they're in, and the status of each. |
| Current ranks | Their belt or rank in each program. |
| Studio Schedule | When the studio's classes run. |
| Recent Attendance | The classes they've been marked present at. |
There is more on the check-in code and ranks in Check-in codes, ranks and progress.
What you can change yourself
Honestly, not much — and that is on purpose, because your child's record is the studio's roster.
You can change:
- your own name, phone, address and photo, under Account at the bottom of the sidebar;
- your password, on the same page;
- your child's photo, from their page;
- your saved cards, on your Payments page;
- your RSVPs to events.
The studio changes:
- which programs a child is enrolled in, and whether an enrollment is active;
- what you're charged, and any discount;
- belt ranks and promotions;
- attendance;
- a child's name or date of birth, if either was entered wrong;
- your child's check-in code.
If a child leaves
Tell the studio. There is no "remove my child" button, and there shouldn't be — the studio needs to take them off the roster, stop any monthly billing, and keep their attendance and rank history intact in case they come back.
Leaving does not stop monthly payments by itself
If you're on monthly billing, ask the studio explicitly to stop it. You cannot stop it from your own account, and removing your saved card only causes failed payments rather than cancelling anything. See Paying your studio.
If you have children at two different studios
One login can belong to more than one studio. When it does, the studio name at the top of the sidebar becomes a switcher — click it and pick the other one. Your children, schedule, events and payments all follow whichever studio you're currently in.
If something you're sure exists has vanished, check the switcher first.
