The instructor view
The three-item app an instructor gets, what drives it, and what they deliberately cannot reach.
An instructor does not get a cut-down version of the admin app. They get a different, much smaller one: three sidebar items, and nothing else.
That is the point. Somebody who comes in to teach two evenings a week should be able to take the register in two taps without walking past your revenue reports.
What they see
The sidebar is three items:

They cannot reach students, enrollments, registrations, ranks, events, settings, payments or reports. There is no filtered version of those screens — they simply do not exist for this role.
Dashboard
Two tiles — Today's Classes with a count, and today's date — then a card per class showing the program and the time, with a button through to the attendance sheet.
"No classes scheduled for today" means no class is assigned to them today. It does not mean the studio has no classes.
Schedule
Their own classes on a month or week calendar, with Today and arrows. Everything they are named on, past and future.
They cannot edit the schedule. Class times, programs and instructor assignments are all changed by an owner or admin on Classes then Schedule.
Attendance
Today's classes assigned to them, each opening the same attendance sheet an admin uses — the same roster, the same four statuses, the same Mark N remaining absent button, the same notes.

The one difference is the front door. Where an admin can step to any date and any class in the studio, an instructor's list is today, and theirs.
The assignment is what matters
Everything on all three screens keys off the Instructor field of the class. An instructor who is not named on a class sees nothing about it.
So when a class changes hands:
- Reassign it on Classes then Schedule → Schedule Template. The change pushes down onto every upcoming date, so the new instructor sees it immediately.
- Past classes keep the old instructor's name, which is correct — they did teach them.
- A one-off swap is not something the schedule supports. For tonight only, have the covering instructor take the register from an admin account, or leave it and mark it up afterwards.
An unassigned class has no instructor view
A class with no instructor set does not appear on anybody's instructor dashboard, schedule or attendance list. It is still on the admin attendance calendar and still on the kiosk — it just belongs to nobody.
If instructors are your attendance-takers, make sure every recurring class has an instructor assigned.
Instructors and other roles
One person can hold several roles. An owner who also teaches usually holds owner and instructor — and because the sidebar shows the larger of the two, they get the full admin app, not the instructor one. Their instructor screens are still there at their own addresses; they simply aren't in the menu.
If somebody should take the register and nothing else, give them instructor only. See Who can do what.
What instructors cannot do
- See a student's payment history, charge a card or issue a refund.
- Promote a student or change a belt ladder.
- Enroll, unenroll or suspend anybody.
- Change the schedule, including their own classes.
- Reach settings, the kiosk PIN, or any report.
The one exception is the leads pipeline. It is not in their sidebar, but it does open read-only if they follow a link to it — and every change is refused server-side.
