Your registration link and QR code

One public URL, the printable QR code for it, and what to have ready before you hand it out.

Your registration link is one URL that never changes, and everything else in this section starts with it. Put it on a poster in the lobby, in your Instagram bio, at the bottom of an email, and on the counter next to the sign-up clipboard you are about to stop using.

https://dojotiger.com/your-slug/register

your-slug is the URL Slug from Studio then General — see Studio details and branding. The exact link for your studio is printed on Studio then QR Code, so you never have to assemble it yourself.

It is public. Nobody needs an account, and nobody is asked to log in.

The QR code

Studio then QR Code shows the code, the URL underneath it, and two buttons:

ButtonWhat it does
Download QR CodeSaves a PNG named your-slug-qr-code.png. It is generated at 1024 pixels square, which is plenty for an A4 poster or a window sticker.
Copy URLCopies the registration link to your clipboard.

The code is generated from the link, so it is not something that can go out of date on its own — but it does encode your slug, so if you ever change the slug every printed code stops working. Set the slug once and leave it alone.

Print it bigger than you think

This is the flow the product was built around: a prospect walks in, scans the code on their phone, and fills the form in while they are standing at the desk. Print it large enough to scan from arm's length, and put the studio name and a line of instruction — "Scan to sign up" — above it.

Before you hand it out

The form is generated from your own data, so the quality of what a family sees depends on three screens being filled in first:

ScreenWhat it puts on the form
Classes then ProgramsThe program picker. Only active programs are listed, each with its name, age range and description. A studio with no active programs shows no picker at all.
Studio then WaiversThe waivers signed at step two. A studio with none skips that step.
Studio then QuestionsThe extra questions at the bottom of the form.

Fill your own form in on a phone before you print anything. It is the fastest way to find a missing program, a waiver that reads badly, or a question you forgot — then delete the test registration from Students then Registrations.

The trial variant

Add ?intent=trial to the link and the form opens with "I'd like to try a class first" already ticked:

https://dojotiger.com/your-slug/register?intent=trial

Everything else about the form is identical. It is the right link for an ad or a post about a free trial class, because the prospect never has to notice the tick box. The QR code on Studio then QR Code always points at the plain link, so a trial link is one you assemble and share yourself.

See Trials for what happens after they submit.

  • Your public website at dojotiger.com/your-slug has its own sign-up buttons pointing at the same form, plus a separate "tell us more" enquiry form that creates a lead rather than a registration.
  • The registration confirmation email links back for a second child.
  • Any link you send yourself — the form accepts guardian name, email, phone and address as prefill, which is how the app's own emails send a family to a form that already knows who they are.

What happens next

Submitting the form creates a student record, a guardian if the student is a minor, and a registration in your worklist. It does not enroll anybody in anything. See Reviewing pending registrations.
