Reading the dashboard
The five tiles, what each one counts, today's schedule, and the milestones nobody else will tell you about.
The dashboard is the first screen you see after signing in, and it is designed to answer one question: what needs me today? Everything on it is either a number you should act on or a piece of today's schedule.
It is at Dashboard. Owners and admins see the version described here; instructors and parents get their own.
The banner
Your name, your studio name, and today's date — always in US Eastern time, which is the timezone the whole app uses for "today".
The tile on the right shows today's class count. If there are no classes today, it shows your active enrollment count instead, so it is never a zero staring back at you.
The five tiles
Four of them are links. Click the number to go straight to the work.
Pending Registrations
Families who have come through your public registration form and are not yet enrolled in anything.
This is not a count of any particular registration status — it is every registration whose student has no active enrollment. So a family sitting at waivers partial and a family who finished everything but has not been put on a roster both count here, and both stop counting the moment you enroll them.
Click through to Students then Registrations. See Reviewing pending registrations.
Leads to Follow Up (3+ days)
Enquiries still sitting in the New stage that arrived more than three days ago. In other words: people who asked about your classes and have not been called back.
Underneath, a smaller line reads "4 new · 1 converted this week" — new leads and converted leads over the last seven days. That is your enquiry volume and your conversion, side by side.
The big number should be zero most of the time. Clicking it opens Students then Leads already filtered to the New stage.
Trials
Trial bookings that are pending or active — prospects with a class booked who have not yet been converted or written off. Links to Students then Trials.
Today's Classes
How many sessions are scheduled today and not cancelled. This tile is not a link; the timeline underneath is the detail.
Active Enrollments
Enrollments with the status Active — not students. A student in two programs counts twice. That is the right number for revenue and the wrong number for "how many kids train here", so do not quote it as a headcount.
Links to Students then Enrollments.
Today's Schedule
A vertical timeline of today's classes, each with its start time, program and time range. The class happening now — or the next one up — is marked with a pulsing dot, so a glance tells you where you are in the day.
Empty days say "No classes scheduled for today. Enjoy the break!"
Birthdays and Milestones
Two side-by-side widgets, and the closest thing the app has to a "be a good studio owner" prompt.
- Birthdays — students with a birthday in the next seven days.
- Milestones — three things at once:
- Attendance milestones: students who have exactly reached 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 500 or 1,000 classes marked Present. It is an exact match, so a student appears on the day they hit the number and not afterwards.
- Enrollment anniversaries falling in the next 30 days.
- Promotions awarded in the last seven days.
None of these send anything to anybody. They are there so the person at the front desk can say the right thing when the family walks in.
Upcoming Events
The next three events that have not been cancelled, from today forwards, each linking to its own page. View all goes to Classes then Events. Note that this shows all upcoming events, public or not.
Quick Actions
Four shortcuts: New Announcement, Registrations, Attendance and Upload Content. Nothing you cannot reach from the sidebar — they are just the four things people do most.
Announcements and Featured Videos
At the bottom, the announcements you have pinned to the dashboard (up to five, newest first) and your featured videos. Both are the same content families see on their own dashboard, so it doubles as a check that what you published looks right.
See Announcements and The video library.
What the dashboard is not
There is no money on this screen
No revenue figure, no outstanding balance, no failed-payment count. That is deliberate — the dashboard is shared with instructors' and parents' views of the same route, and financial numbers belong behind a screen you choose to open.
For money, go to Financial reports and Reading the Payments ledger.
There is also no date filter and no history. The dashboard is always now. For trends over time, use Membership reports.
